Method

We searched Google for lead generation statistics, B2B lead generation statistics and cost per lead statistics, read the pages that ranked and traced each number to the company that measured it. Many of those pages repeat numbers credited to Forrester, Gartner or long-gone sites with no findable source, so we kept only numbers we could read on the producer's own page, checked on September 24, 2026. Cost per lead figures come from ad and agency data (LocaliQ, First Page Sage) and describe those companies' clients, not every advertiser. Survey numbers (Ruler Analytics, HubSpot, Content Marketing Institute, Sopro) describe the people who answered. The lead response studies are older (Harvard Business Review, 2011; Chili Piper, 2022); we found no newer study that tested response times the same way. Krabat numbers come from its production database: every prospect row, company check and email lookup from the first run on August 6 to September 23, 2026. Prospect rows exclude projects owned by our own test accounts.

Krabat numbers new on this page:

  • 71.9% of the 673,186 prospect rows Krabat pulled from lead databases for 71 projects were dropped because the company was not the kind the campaign targets. Contact rows disqualified with reason off_company_type or excluded_company_type, divided by all contact rows; projects owned by our own test accounts excluded.
  • 8.9% of the prospect rows Krabat pulled (60,022 of 673,186) ended up receiving an email. Contact rows whose status shows at least one sent email (contacted, replied, bounced or later suppressed).
